Trinity Mirror Sport Media created history by producing 75,000 official matchday programmes for the famous Inter Milan v AC Milan derby in the San Siro.


Inter fans arriving for the big game, which took place on Sunday, April 19, were all handed a free copy of the high-quality glossy publication.


It is a first for an Italian club as, culturally, programmes aren't produced for games at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza or other venues in Serie A.

Sport Media's reputation for working with the very best in the sporting world has been enhanced even further in 2014 by the collaboration with snooker legend Jimmy White on his autobiography.


White is the most famous snooker player on the planet and he decided, aged 52, to come clean on an explosive career that has seen his autobiography, 'Second Wind', cause huge global headlines as well as sell over 20,000 copies inside its first month of retail.


Working with Chris Brereton, one of Sport Media's in-house ghostwriters, the legendary White detailed his incredible rise from snooker hall hustler to the very peak of the game, featuring in six World Championship finals. White and Brereton worked closely together for four months, in a range of locations across Europe, as Jimmy's amazing story was brought to life.


Sport Media's specialised editorial team continually shaped the book and ensured its speedy delivery to market. Following publication, White has appeared on many different media platforms, including BBC Five Live, Talksport and This Morning after a superbly co-ordinated marketing strategy led by Senior Marketing Executive Claire Brown.


Second Wind continues to sit high in the Amazon charts and Jimmy's faith in Sport Media's specialised autobiography team has been more than realised. “I can't thank Sport Media enough,” Jimmy said. “They were so enthusiastic about my book and the project.”

Manchester City's Sergio Aguero became a club legend when he scored the Premier League title-winning goal in 2012. Now – thanks to Sport Media – his incredible 'Rise' has been brought to life as he thrills City's supporters all over again with a book that is selling at a remarkable rate.


Aguero is one of the most exciting and popular strikers in the world and that has been reflected in the response to his biography – 'Born To Rise'. Featuring personal pictures and a foreword from his close friend Lionel Messi, it is a thrilling account of a rags-to-riches tale that is poignant, inspiring and exciting in equal measure.


The Argentinian striker collaborated with world-renowned journalist Daniel Fresco on the project and although it was originally written in Spanish, that proved few problems for the Sport Media team as Managing Director Steve Hanrahan worked closely with Aguero and Fresco in order to translate the book into English.


During the six-month project, Sport Media's experience and expertise in producing high quality publications was again brought to the fore and that has been proven by a sales figure than continues to improve and increase by the week.

Sport Media is renowned as the industry leader in programme production and development and that reputation has been enhanced even further after one of its newer contracts, Tottenham Hotspur, won the 2014-2015 Barclays Premier League Programme of the Year award from the Midlands Programme Club.


Sport Media only started producing the Spurs publication at the start of last season but with its own dedicated team, the award is proof that Sport Media continues to help shape and edit the most exciting and interesting programmes in the Premier League.


The full-colour edition is a mixture of news, features and club history and Sport Media's own extensive photo archive library, containing Spurs images from the last 80 years, has helped ensure that the programme is one of the most successful in the country.


Liaising with Jon Rayner, the Spurs editor, Sport Media design the 100-page programme within a 72-hour period, communicating directly with Jon and his team at White Hart Lane to ensure a consistent and vibrant read.


Spurs' recent involvement in the Europa League has ensured a crammed fixture list and often means several programmes are in production at the same time, but the appointment of a direct account manager to work with Jon means any production issues are solved quickly and efficiently.
